What's New on the Web
There has been a tremendous increase in activity on TOC's Web site recently. October was a record month for user sessions, with the special section "Assault on Civilization" helping to drive traffic to the site.
New items are added almost daily to the External Commentaries Links of the "Assault on Civilization" section, and Web site manager Shawn Klein has organized the links into four major groups: Western Values under Attack, Islamic History and Theology, Terrorism, and The Attack and The War. Each of these groups has three subdivisions: Opinion, Documents, and Scholarship. To help people find the newest links, Klein also created a page that lists just the most recent links added to the site.
Other additions to the "Assault on Civilization" section are op-eds and Quick Comments. The op-eds are pieces related to the themes of the "Assault on Civilization" section that are being distributed by the center under its op-ed program. The Quick Comments are short comments on various aspects of the war on terrorism and its cultural effects.
All of these features are available at the "Assault on Civilization" special section: /navig/assault_on_civilization.asp. Check it often for the latest commentaries and links.
But not all activity on the Web site has to do with the "Assault on Civilization." New products have been added to The Objectivism Store catalog, including the latest edition of the Objectivist Studies monograph series: "Is Virtue Only a Means to Happiness?" by Neera K. Badhwar. The full catalog is available at: The Objectivism Store.
The November Navigator is also available online, along with links to Amazon.com for the books on Navigator's Suggested Readings. These are available at Navigator's homepage: /navigator/.
