Kelley, Thomas Attend Cato University

David Kelley and William Thomas represented the center at the Cato Institute's "Cato University" seminar held in Philadelphia March 29 through April 1. They attended at the invitation of Tom G. Palmer, director of the Cato University program. The conference focused on the American Enlightenment, emphasizing the cultural background of the Founding Fathers. Speakers included enlightenment intellectual historian Alan Charles Kors and Thomas Jefferson scholar Robert McDonald. TOC's representatives distributed copies of Navigator and discussed Objectivist ideas and TOC activities with the many conference attendees interested in Ayn Rand.
