The Atlas Society Launches Operations

After nearly two years of preparations, The Atlas Society—an organization for admirers of Ayn Rand's fiction—has begun its activities.

"We're delighted that this important effort to reach Rand's millions of readers is finally underway," says Robert James Bidinotto, director of the society. "TAS is an extremely ambitious effort, and its launch required a great deal of advance preparation involving many people.

"However, we believe this new program will help bring new readers to Ayn Rand's fiction and give them a deeper appreciation of her vision and ideas. We also expect that it will eventually attract many new people to Objectivism, and to The Objectivist Center."
